- Climb La Rocca, a 268 m crag with the Temple of Diana and castle ruins: 30 to 45 minutes up
- The crescent beach below the old town, shallow and sheltered
- The medieval Lavatoio wash-house, hidden below street level on Via Vittorio Emanuele
- The old town is about a 10-minute walk from the station
- Trains to Palermo Centrale: about 45 to 60 minutes, roughly hourly

We would allow: one night.
Usually only by booking two separate journeys: most sleeper fares are for one train on one date, and you cannot get off and rejoin the same ticket the next night.
Check the fare rules with the operator when you book.
